Originally Issa had  2 smaller racks, in a tiered set up, where one was placed higher than the other like steps, this was more difficult to manoeuvre around when tying down bags. So the 1200 has changed over to 1 large flat rack that will offer for more flexibility when packing the bike.

Issa added an Engine Guard Extension to the 1200GS that just fits right over the centre stand. The pieces that hold the extension on are quite hard on the hands to fit, but once they are on, they aren’t going anywhere!

Note Zega Pro Special Set (with cut-out) owners looking to install, left side 45 litre pannier reinforcements. In adding the inner pannier reinforcements Issa realized that the left side cutout pannier does not have room to accommodate the reinforcement piece. The cutout of course is necessary in working around the exhaust pipe.

I was finding on the F650GS that my little foot was having a tough time finding the break pedal at times, especially when standing through gravel. I would actually not use the rear break at all on pavement because of this. In adding the extender, I no longer have to search for the lever, I simply step  straight down. The small teeth like grips provide even added confidence. While off road, I’ll just have to be sure to turn my feet out so that I don’t accidentally step on it when going over rougher terrain.

This s a shot from underneath the extender. I found that the mechanism that holds on the upper grip, was a bit finicky to fit. This is how it should look.

Upper brake reservoir guard has the added benefit of minimizing the way it bounces around on rough roads.

Pannier reinforcement fit is not a problem for Zega Pro Standard Set. They fit like a glove.

Issa, cut the top “stopper tab” off of the windshield adjuster knobs. That lets you move the windshield even more vertical and helps us tall guys with the buffeting you normally get. I modded mine that way and it worked like a charm.
