Looking at this picture now it's like I knew how things were going to go. It's an early morning arrival in #Melilla, a #Spanish exclave in North Africa. The next hundred hours would see allegations of spying (thanks to a forgotten @gopro camera) a couple of crashes, Nita's heart giving out in #Morocco's #Rif mountains and a night spent with Hashish farmers while she recovered.

I think it's all there on my face.

It’s a funny thing. When we told folks we were planning a move East, the reaction is often “Have you spent a winter out there?!” frequently delivered with a sense of urgency usually reserved for impending doom. One of the most phenomenal things about Nova Scotia is the people - sometimes mentioned, often overlooked in those initial conversations. Four days after a hurricane and all the turmoil that follows, we walked into one of our favourite cafes - @fancypantscafe in Bridgewater - and just missed their kitchen. No big deal, so we just enjoyed a lovely coffee and some conversation with the amazing staff. On the way out I heard a whistle, turned around and these delicious scones were delivered into our hands in lieu of breakfast. Can you imagine?! We can definitely handle any winter with folks like this filling our every day!!
